The small LPB is 18 dram and the large LPV is 60 dram.

The small LPBs are ideal for smaller pills or for a low quantity of tablets and can easily be stored in a handbag for travel. Small LPBs are the standard size for dispensing medications behind the pharmacy counter.

The large LPBs are ideal for larger tablets or for a high quantity of pills. The large size can also be used like a mini-safe by patients to safely store a “bottle in a bottle”. Many standard size medicine vials fit inside a large LPB. When used this way, the large LPB can be re-used for future use.
